Clickable prototype
The character sheet in your pocket
The app follows the whole night, from lobby to save point. It keeps the phrases learned in each match, adds up every player's points and maintains the ranking of each house.
How to try it
- Tap Enter the lobby and set up the table.
- In the tutorial, mark up to three cheat codes as goals.
- During a match, log points, lives, cheat codes used and new phrases.
- At the save point, pick the three phrases of the night and save.
- Open the sheet, the phrases and the ranking to see what changed.
Where the ideas came from
- BG Stats: a log of every match with players, location and score.
- Dized: a guided tutorial before the game starts.
- Duolingo: XP, levels and leagues by season.
- Untappd: check-in at the house and achievements.
- Strava: the club ranking.
- D&D Beyond: a digital character sheet.
None of them keeps the English learned at the table. That is the new part: the player's notes, the cheat codes used and the Game Master's patch notes become a phrasebook with built-in review.
Players, houses and points are sample data. Everything you log is saved only in this browser. A ranking shared between phones needs a server, which is the step after the prototype. The meanings in the phrasebook stay in Portuguese, the players' first language.
